Nimbo Yard is provided by Nimbosoft Ltd (“we”), company number 17482585. This explains what personal information the service holds and why.

Who is responsible

For the records a yard keeps in Nimbo Yard (its renters, their rentals, payments, gate codes, messages and enquiries), the yard’s business is the data controller and we process the information on its behalf. For the account and billing details of the person who signs up, we are the controller.

What we hold

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers and addresses of yard owners, managers, renters and people who make enquiries.
• Rentals, rent due and paid, gate codes, gate openings, signed agreements (with the name typed, time and internet address), and messages between renters and the yard.
• Sign-in records: a cookie that keeps you signed in, and when you last used the service.
• Card and bank details are handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers or bank account numbers.

Why

To provide the service the yard has signed up for: running rentals, taking rent, sending reminders, sign-in links and gate codes, and taking payment for the service.

Who else sees it

Stripe (payments: rent is paid into the yard’s own Stripe account), our email provider (sending emails), our hosting provider, Shelly (only if a yard uses a Shelly gate relay: a request to open the gate), and Anthropic, whose AI we use to: read a spreadsheet, photo or plan a yard uploads to set up its units and renters; draft agreement wording from the yard’s rules; and write the yard’s monthly money note from its figures. Anthropic processes this on our behalf and doesn’t use it to train its models. We don’t sell information or use it for advertising.

Cookies

Only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember the yard you were looking at. No tracking or advertising cookies.

How long

For as long as the yard keeps its account, then up to 90 days after it closes, unless the law requires longer. Yards can ask for their records to be exported or deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information. If you rent from a yard, ask the yard first; we’ll help them. Email info@nimbosoft.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
